About Me
Hi! Are you a therapist working in community mental health? Great! I was too and I'm here to help you.
I started my private practice in the summer of 2019, after surviving a few bouts of burnout. But by the time 2019 came around, I had actually figured out how to make it all work, while grieving, moving, marrying, and just generally handling the the chaos around me. This, along with the support of great mentors, helped me "make the leap".
I know how tough it can be to work in community mental health, and I'm committed to passing on that mentorship to you.
The Community Mental Health Survival Guide is one way I do that. It's a resource for therapists who want to avoid burnout, pass their licensure test, and prepare for their next career move.
There is so much coaching, continuing education, and podcast content to support licensed private practice owners, but where is all that for community mental health therapists?
I know that if you can recover from or prevent burn out, you're going to keep doing an amazing job with your clients.
Maybe you'll actually study for your licensure test instead of just telling yourself you'll study.
And if you decide you want a supervisor role, or a different setting one day, you'll have the emotional strength and mental space to prepare for those big leaps.
